The Retake of Purr City

Purr City has been overtaken by large genetically engineered rats. The rats imprisoned the cats and replaced the ruler, King Leo VII, with King Rattus I.

Collect purr coins and fish to feed the cats. The cats you save will assist you with their unique gifts and talents. Watch out for the nasty birds, genetically engineered rats, moving sandworms and more. Make your way to the castle and find out who the masterminds are behind the invasion.

Rescued cats are inspired by a historical figure who fought for freedom, equality, or scientific progress — such as Ada Lovelace (early computer programmer), Grace Hopper (pioneer of computer science), Spartacus, Jonas Salk (developer of the polio vaccine who declined to patent it), and Kathrine Switzer (the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon despite opposition) — and many more.

On a deeper level, this game is about occupation, the battle for resources and teamwork to win back the city. Themes include renewable energy and scientific innovation.

Sign up now on Kickstarter where a digital copy of the video game is only £9, which can be played on desktop – Mac, Linux or Window. Other rewards are available including a book, clothes, and a customised version of the game.
